This handy bag is made up with two strands of yarn worked together. If you want a really sturdy tote, use double strands of Caron One Pound as that particular yarn tends to be a bit coarser and thicker than other 4 ply. It comes in a decent variety of colors, and you could always combine two different ones for an interesting tweed effect. The handles are worked as part of the body of the bag, so theres no worried about them separating with a heavy load.

I am loving that this "Northwest Beaches Tote Bag" is nice and long so that my beach towels and beach mats can be rolled up and stuffed inside with room to spare. So pretty is this bag I have decided to save it to my project list for future reference. THe bag itself is great in ANY colorway! How about red, white, and blue for Fourth of July?
