This is a great market tote because its so squishable. Were regular shoppers at a few stores that ask you bring your own bags, so we try to keep several in the car in case of an impromptu stop. This would work up nicely in cotton, acrylic or even parachute cording. The open texture lets produce breathe so its great of a farmers market, too.

I happen to think this would be the quintessential summertime tote bag for every girl! The pattern is so simple and should work up pretty quickly. Bonus points for saving money and using a budget yarn like the Super Saver. Now, for the summer I like to see it in white with a trim of turquoise. Or, go natural color (like sand) and trim in a pretty coral.

This pattern is a very nice one for a tote bag! It looks to be quite sturdy and of durable structure. I like that it's designated an "easy" pattern because I never have enough totes available it seems. This way I can make up several in different colors...one for each meeting or event that I attend and all my appropriate things can go in the appropriate colored tote! Thank you for this free pattern!
