If you're looking for a new fashion piece to sport around then you'll just love the Crocodile Stitch Purse. This new design is done in single crochet and the crocodile stitch giving it a texturized look. I still cannot download your patterns. I have disabled my virus protector and they still will now download.

Enjoyed making it and have had great comments about it from other seeing it finished. Used a pretty variegated thread, lovely at completion! made a shrug to match for spring and fall!! Thanks!

A friend was doing this last week and it was gorgeous. Mind you, she is a very experienced crocheter.

This was a lovely pattern, and finished a bag in about 24 hours. But like WAG below in comments, at first I was stuck - until looking at another pattern, I realized that the beginning is like a "bowl" and the directions in the crocodile bag that refer to "80 Stitiches" and "96 stitches" give you the hint here, as well as the words "round" -- could the author maybe help out newer needleworkers by adding a few lines showing how this is done - i.e., crocheting in the round. The crocodile stitch is fascinating once you get the hang of it. The You-tube video was excellent, allowing you to follow along with your own needles, pausing when necessary if you fall behind. But getting started is the trick if you are unfamiliar with creating the "bowl" and crocheting (or knitting) in the round. Good job! Beautiful results. And thanks to kajon84 below for steering us all to the lining site!!

here is a site for lining crochet purses ... http://www.futuregirl.com/craft_blog/2008/1/tutorial-sew-lining-for-crocheted-bag.aspx

I think the pattern looks lovely only problem is it wont download.

Mikey from the Crochet Crowd does a tutorial for a purse very similar to this, don't know if it's the same pattern or not... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNWyzNZdnGM

I downloaded the Crocodile Stitch Purse. I read the pattern first and do not understand it. If I do what is shown all I will have is one flat piece . Am I supposed to fold it in half and sew it or make two and sew them together? What closure is used? I've asked before but I get no reply.
