Looks great and cute. Did you know that this one is poisonous one, here is the riddle ..... Red touch Black FRIEND to Jack , Red touch Yellow KILL a Fellow -- talking about the colored rings. Other wise it is very cute.

Wow, this is great. You don't see a lot of snakes in amigurumi but this is equally as cute as anything. I would love to have this coiled around my bookcase.

After a few years abroad (no snakes), my Dad was transferred to south Florida (lots of snakes). I collected just about every kind of critter imaginable, and my Mom was terrified I would come across a coral snake. Seeing this project reminded me of the little rhyme about how to tell a coral snake from a king snake. I hadnt thought of that in years. But I still do collect critters.

I love the idea of the rattlers. I would put a bit of copper wire or something in it of you want it to bend easily.

@janetbslats 1885627: We're so glad you enjoyed this pattern and we love your rattler idea! We suggest inserting a pipe cleaner into the snake while stuffing if you would like it to curl as shown in the photo. Thanks for your feedback! -- Editor of AllFreeCrochet

I made three of these in different colors for little boys aged 10 months, one and two. They were a big hit with all of them. I added a few split peas in a little bag and put the bag into the tail area to make a little rattle in one snake. The snakes do not curl around easily as shown in the photo.
