Pug Puppy Pals

A whole litter of puppies is just waiting for you to work them up for your own collection or as a stuffed animal for your little one! The Pug Puppy Pals are tiny, adorable, and easy to crochet. These crochet amigurumi perfectly capture the fun personality of pugs—and bring a whole new meaning to the idea of "teacup-sized" dogs. The crochet puff stitch gives the amigurumi pattern that typical wrinkly look that makes everyone want to wrap pugs up in a big hug, so it's a good thing crochet is well suited for cuddling. The design even lets you decide to crochet a standing or sitting pug so you have some nice variety in each set that you make.

NotesThis pattern calls for a 3 mm hook, but if you don't have one, go up or down a size as you see fit.

First off, be advised that this project is just the two puppies, not the adult dog. Portia is available for purchase through Ravelry. Secondly, the pattern is written in UK terms, so youll need to translate them into US terms if necessary. The instructions are fairly clear and the designer does include the stitch count at the end of each round, but more photos would be greatly appreciated.

No,no,no, you are killing me. My best friend has a Pug that she adores. And her birthday is in a month. Add those facts and you get the reason I will have a litter of Pugs in my living room. I know she will be both surprised and thrilled when she gets them.

Love this little guy! I made it for my grandson who has a real pug in the house. I did not use felt, I crocheted circles with dark brown yarn for the eyes and the snout and then used French knots for the middle of the eye in black yarn and embroidered a mouth (also in black). It came out very cute! Oh, and I just crocheted the tail without wire so the baby wouldn't get hurt!
