Spiral Crocheted Afghan

By:

Break away from the standard rectangular shape of crocheted afghans and learn how to crochet a blanket with this Spiral Crocheted Afghan. This homemade blanket will look great draped over your bed or sofa. Lion Brand Homespun yarn is used to complete this intermediate crochet pattern. Bulky weight yarn makes this a quick crochet pattern to work up. It measures about 54 inches across from point to point.

GAUGE
12 sc + 13 rows = 4 in. (10 cm).
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE.
When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
Note: All rnds are worked with RS always facing. Rnds 2–34 are worked in continuous rnds, and not joined at the end of each rnd. Rnds 35-46 are joined at the end of each rnd, be sure to read the instructions carefully for each rnd.
