Just finished this one. It's a very easy pattern but, unfortunately, I chose the largest size and finally just decided to end it after it nearly covered a queen-sized bed. I used Caron Simply Soft, which was a pleasure to work with, however for an afghan, I would suggest not starting with the largest size. It's really nice, very soft, but became uncomfortable when working on it in 90 degree weather. I should have started it a few months sooner. Lovely, though, when finished. I will give it to my sister as a Christmas gift. I made it in a lovely shade, Country Blue, and only made it in this color because it was the only yarn Michael's had enough of in stock. (That is typical of Michael's.) If I had used the other three skeins I purchased for this "little" project, it would have been waaay too big to be used as an afghan, but closer to a king-sized coverlet.

I'm not quite sure why this is called a "chainless foundation". The chain in simply made simultaneously with the designated stitch. It is probably more appropriately called a foundation stitch and the foundation, itself, is a series of foundation stitches, be they sc, dc, hdc etc. BUT, there IS a chain.

I just finished making this with Red Heart With Love, Eggshell. I'm a beginner and I loved this pattern. It was a pleasure to do and looks great. Thanks!

how many skeins of yarn for each size?? thanks, luv the pattern.

This pattern gives yarn quantities for the various patterns. When using yarn other than what the pattern calls for, how do you determine how much yarn to the required number of yards?
