I have a commercially made phone case thats very similar to this project, and my sister was asking how hard it would be to crochet one. If I had seen this project first, I would have told her not hard at all! Shes a runner and now has one of those smart watches to replace her phone, but she still needs to carry her ID and a little cash. This is lightweight enough to easily carry in her pocket.

Love this little crocheted Cash n' Cards case! I definitely could use one of these! I think kitchen cotton yarn, such as Peaches n' Cream, would definitely be a good choice of yarn as it is a sturdier yarn and it comes in a variety of beautiful solid and variegated colors. I like Cheryl Y's idea of using Velcro for the closure.

What a neat pattern that is so easy to make. I'm going to make a lot of these and give out as gifts. I'm wondering if cotton yarn would stand up better? I'm thinking of peaches n cream solid color. For the younger ones on my list I'm going to use Velcro closures. Thank you for the free pattern.
