For those of us that like to decorate or give homemade items, this is one project that can take the "time" out of creating a special gift. Using the punch hole center cuts down on crochet time and adds just that much more personalized by using pictures for instance in the center. Great idea.

Thank you for the pictures you provided with the instructions. I plan on using pictures as centers for my snowflakes. I also intend to make each snowflake in the favorite color of the person on the photo. These will be gift name tags. I hope I can keep them to use every year for that "big" gift.

This is one of those crochet-craft projects rather than pure crochet, and would be nice for a beginning crafter. The author provides wonderfully written instructions and several detailed photographs for this project. It would be easy to personalize by writing a name or message on the cardstock center. I may schedule this project for my senior students to work up. This would also be a nice learning project for my grandchildren.
