GAUGE: 32 dc = 4” with 2.1mm [US 3] hook for size Small/Medium; 28 dc = 4” with 2.55mm [US 0] hook for size Large/X-Large; 24 dc = 4” with 2.7mm [US 00] hook for size XX-Large. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.

Special Stitches

tr5tog = Treble crochet 5 sts together. *Yo twice, insert hook in next st, yo and draw up a loop, [yo and draw through 2 loops on hook] twice; repeat from * 4 more times, yo and draw through all 6 loops on hook.

Round 49: Ch 3, dc in same ch as join, *ch 1, [dc in next dc, ch 1, skip next dc] 9 times, dc2tog over 3 sts, [ch 1, skip next next dc, dc in next dc] 9 times, ch 1**, 3 dc in next dc; repeat from * around, ending last repeat at **, dc in same ch as beginning; join with slip st in top of beginning ch. Fasten off.
FINISHING
Armhole Edging

Round 1: Join 2 strands of D held together with sc in armhole edge at underarm, ch 1, sc evenly spaced around armhole; join with slip st in first sc.
Round 2: Reverse sc in every sc around. Fasten off.
Repeat around other armhole.
Block lightly, if desired.
Weave in ends.
