If you're a Jane Austen fan, then you'll love Austentatious Crochet by Melissa Horozewski. It features 32 timeless crochet designs inspired by Jane Austen's classic six novels, Sense and Sensibility, Pride & Prejudice, Mansfield Park, Emma, Northanger Abbey, and Persuasion.

The patterns have all been slightly moderized and brought up-to-date, making them wearable in today's society. Although the majority of the designs are women's wearables such as dresses, cardigans, and fitted sweaters, you'll also find a great variety of accessories including handbags, scarves, afghans, and children's clothing.

Some favorite patterns include The Becoming Jane Sweater (pg. 40), a gorgeous sweater that is both flattering and comfortable. Another favorite is the Dreaming of Mr. Knightly Pajama Set (pg. 132), a modern twist on Regency undergarments that was inspired by corsets and knickers. Some other not-to-be-missed patterns include The Heartfield House Pillows (pg 63), Confessions Chemise (pg. 142), and Catherines Cloak (pg. 152).

Each chapter of this fully-illustrated book begins with a snippet from the novel that inspired the pattern. To take the experience one step further, Austen-era trivia, quizzes, and fashion-related quotes are also dispersed throughout. Any devoted Jane Austen fan is sure to appreciate and cherish Austentatious Crochet.

The cover says 36 patterns if you count you will find 32 but some are doubling, there is one with hat and mittens, the company counts the hat as one pattern and the mitts as another, but even with that I have only been able to count 35. I think the pillows has two designs or patterns and one necklace can be made two different ways I believe. So if anyone can find the last one for me, and yes this bugs me, I have issues I know. But they are very pretty. I am working on Lizzys lace mantelet. The better part is that it's so easy and simple that I am actually using the pattern to make a parasol. And I can choose if I want a big one or little. Great book. ( thank you Brittany)

I am completely new to this site and anxious to use the patterns but I don't see how to download the Austentatious patterns. I saved it to my patterns but just can't open it. Please help! Thanks!

What a wonderful opportunity! Thank you also just for letting us know about this book.

My daughter, her daughter and I all love the Jane Austen books and movies. It would thrill me beyond words to win this collection of crochet patterns. Thank you for letting me be a part of this. Sharon
