I am in the planning stages right now, but I love how it will look delicate and cute all at once. I was thinking that I could applique each square to a solid cloth background. Also each square could be sewn/appliqued to a solid color sheet to keep the design light and airy. Adorable. ()-

Starting another one of this pattern as it is so pretty when finished

I have made 2 of these blankets, they turned out really well. Used a mixture of random coloured yarn and solid colour, I intend to do another one as it turns out so well

I clicked on "save pattern" and all it saved was the picture of the pattern and the page you get to before you click on pattern page. Can anyone help. Is there a way to download to my computer documents?

Hi Rhoncri, When you choose to save a pattern, it will only save the page from our site, not the pattern itself. The designer has not provided a PDF or downloadable copy of this pattern. However, you can always copy the pattern, paste it into a text or Word doc, and then save or print it. I hope this helps a bit. Happy crocheting! editors at AllFreeCrochet

I used this pattern to make a full-sized afghan for a grown daughter who absolutely LOVES bears. I crocheted each square a different color and added ribbon for the bows. The pattern was well written--easy to follow directions. It was fun to create--and very well received! Thanks for submitting it!

Can you use Caron Simply Soft yarn, medium weigt 4? I have lots of that and really want to try this.

I was wondering the same thing. My guess is it would just be bigger and a bit bulky compared to the one in the photo

Looking forward to creating this afghan.....how much yarn would you estimate for 25 squares?

I am trying to make this blanket as a gift for my sister's baby. I am confused about the repeat instructions. What does *ch 1, sk ch 1 sp, dbc in next dbc* repeat between * * 2 times, mean? Louise. Melbourne, Australia

It means repeat what is between the *'s 2 times. You would do ch 1, sk ch 1 sp, dbc in next dbc and then repeat the samething again ch 1, sk ch 1 sp, dbc in next dbc. Hope this helps.

This is a really cute square and easy enough if you pay close attention to the instructions. I would only like to have instructions for joining multiple squares into a blanket.

I am in the middle of doing this. It is for a girl and I am making 16 squares with 4 different colors. I am crocheting them together holding them back to back and using a varigated matching yarn and doing the bows with the varigated yarn. Then I will do a border with the varigated yarn and end with a picot. I think that is how I will do it?!? I will post it when I am finished!

I made this little bear square.......only took a few mins...wouldnt ya know i completely left out his nose.........so i glued a bead there....stlll looks adoreable!!!!!1

Hi, all! We have just tested the link and were able to bring up the pattern without difficulty. If you click where it says, "Click here for crochet pattern," a new window should open directing you to the pattern in full on the designer's blog. From there, we suggest highlighting the pattern before going to File>Print; then click "Selection" instead of "All" under print range, which will allow only the highlighted text to print. Hope this helps! --Editors of AllFreeCrochet

I tried this but I was able to print but it was with part of the pattern printed on part of it being on a blue backgroung. I would like to be able to print where it wouldn't be so hard to read. Thank you....

this pattern won't print or download for me. can you help?

This is so cute, can't wait to try it!

I do have a teddy bear pattern but this one looks better. I just wish it had a print button so I could print it out to put in my pattern folder

I too do not have a print button,I use Ctrl and p to print things it works out fine. Try it Anna

Hi, sdht303188 7157998. As the pattern lives on the designer's blog and not on AllFreeCrochet, you cannot print directly from AllFreeCrochet (hence the lack of a print button on the project page above). If you click the link that says, "Click here for crochet pattern," a new window should open directing you to the pattern in full on the designer's blog. You should be able to print from there (see my comment above if you need further instructions)! Hope this helps! --Editors of AllFreeCrochet

Lol. Sorry, my comment didn't post correctly. :P I had stated that i had no trouble at all getting the pattern by clicking on "Click here for Crochet pattern".

You have pretty patterns but one heck of a system to get them. I'm all singed in as far as I can tell but No sing will come in so I can get the Teddy Bear Square. If it is always this complicated then remove my name but please let me know. Marilyn Barrett barrettm@rconnects.com

Did you click on Click here for Crochet pattern? That should open up pattern and then I hold curser down and highligh pattern and picture, right click copy, go to e-mail and click paste and when it comes up on e-mail, send it to myself. I can then click and save it in crochet patterns or print it out. Hope this helps. You can also save it on site as long as your signed in.
