As strange as this might sound, my Scots grandmother would have loved this hat. She emigrated to the US and landed at Ellis Island on her 19th birthday. As soon as she could claim citizenship, she did, and when she died, her favorite American flag pin was buried with her. Although she was always proud of her Scots heritage, nothing could top being an American.

Great pattern! I love that the site featured a download for the file so I could print it out. I love that it comes in different sizes! A great way to matching ones! The site also featured other designs I would love to make with it too, in variable holiday themes. I want to get started on the red, white, and blue one right away.

I did a little different color scheme, but here is my finished hat. Fast and easy to make. I finished in just three days, working about 40 minutes a day.
